Admitted researchers will have opportunities to carry out\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">leading-edge research<\/strong>\u00a0in an environment that promotes the development of solid foundations (think) and project-based collaborative learning (build). The implementation of innovative ideas is supported with world-class EDA design tools (essentially any commercially available tool), testing equipment and computing resources, as well as intense cross-disciplinary collaboration. Overall, the most unique value in being part of the Green IC group lies in the interaction with our world-class group members and access to a broad spectrum of knowledge in integrated circuit and system design.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-02058a60-7d1a-40d1-8bac-142003e418fd\" style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-align: justify;\">Admitted researchers will work on new ideas and build integrated circuits in cutting-edge technologies down to 14nm, and can be involved in our\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">collaborations with leading institutions in academia and industry<\/strong>\u00a0(UCBerkeley, UMich, EPFL, Intel, STM, TSMC, among the many others). Our goal is to nurture researchers that can be part of any leading organization (academia, research centers, industry) in the world. We are also very open to applicants who intend to perform cutting-edge research and push it to commercialization through\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\">startups\u00a0<\/strong>being spun off of our group. The candidate needs to be aware of the yearly timeline for NUS admission (<a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gse.nus.edu.sg\/applications.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Graduate Studies Office<\/a>) and apply accordingly. At the same time, candidates will need to pass also\u00a0the selection through the Green IC group, in order to join the group. Direct applications to our group need to be sent to\u00a0Prof. Alioto via\u00a0email\u00a0(depending on availability, an interview with Prof. Alioto will be scheduled with the most promising candidates). Different types of Ph.D. programs are available, such as internally funded the well-established NUS program, the\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nus.edu.sg\/ngs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NGS program<\/a>\u00a0(see below), and industrial Ph.D. program that has tighter link with industry, and\u00a0the\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-decoration: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.a-star.edu.sg\/singa-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Singapore International Graduate Award<\/a>\u00a0(SINGA, in which case, an A*STAR co-advisor and a topic need to be agreed on in advance after the interview at Green IC group).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"block-cd9094f1-a0d8-4071-b321-cece58c0a5c4\" style=\"box-sizing: inherit; text-align: justify;\">Financial support is provided for all above positions.
